Philadelphia indie rock band The War On Drugs have released a video for the song "Red Eyes" off their upcoming third album, Lost in the Dream. You can watch the video above, and I'm sure it will bring a smile to your face.
The five minute song is a nonstop driving force of sounds led by Adam's emotional vocals, Patrick's steady drumbeats, and Robbie's cleverly inserted guitar riffs. The mood of the song is reminiscent of something Petty or Springsteen could have written while driving cross country with the top down. The video finds the band members holding an audition in which a drunk clown, a clumsy magician, and an elderly dancing couple all try out, but fail miserably. It's not until a young boy plugs in his guitar and rocks out that the band finds what they're looking for.
Lost in the Dream comes out March 18th on Secretly Canadian and is available for pre-order via iTunes. The band has also announced an extensive tour starting in mid-March that will cover the Unites States, Canada, and parts of Europe.
