Red Hot Dalai Lama

In yet another surreal hybrid of cultures, it has been announced that Red Hot Chili Peppers will be playing a special concert for His Holiness the Dalai Lama while he is visiting Maitripa College in Portland, Oregon. Slated to take place on May 11th, a press release announced:

The musical element of this event is intended to be a display of joyful celebration and an inspiration to future generations to care for our planet. The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been great supporters of the Tibetan cause, of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and of the need to work to protect and preserve our environment.

What he's got, he's gonna give it to the Lama.
