"Reflektor," Arcade Fire's enigmatic new single, was leaked a few days ago, but now the officially sanctioned music video is available at JustAReflektor.com.

The video, created by Vincent Morisset, is a totally interactive experience, combining stunning visual effects with symbiotic technological marvels. It goes like this: You go to the website on your computer, start your webcam, sync your smartphone or tablet via its mobile browser, and voilà: You and your smart phone become the "Reflektor," controlling the special effects through the movement and orientation of the device. It's really cool, and not quite as complicated as it sounds.

If you don't have a smartphone, you can control the effects with your mouse, but you'll miss out on the secondary audio that plays through the device's speakers. The video does require a webcam, though, so those of you on mobile devices or without a webcam may not be able to view it.

You can learn about all the open source technology in the video at the website's technology page and check out the behind the scenes video below. Pitchfork reports that the titular album Reflektor will be out October 29th via Merge Records.
