For Coachella's second weekend in 2014, The Replacements' Paul Westerberg wasn't feeling at the top of his game, so he chilled out on a couch and brought out Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong to help out for much of the set.
The Replacements "I Will Dare" Live at Coachella 4/18/2014:
Paul introduced the set by saying, "We are the world's greatest Replacement's cover band. We are The Cements." They kicked things off with classic Let It Be track "I Will Dare" before an injured Westerberg brought out a scraggly Billie Joe for support. The group made it through "I.O.U." without incident, but Billie Joe had to take over for "I'm in Trouble." Even though Paul took the stage with a cane, his playing is spot-on throughout, although not as high-energy as it could have been. Fans reported that the frontman had injured his back, but there is some speculation that it was all a big joke. Either way, check out the videos above and below.
