Earlier this year, British rock band Muse released one of 2015's best rock albums with Drones. The concept album focused on a futuristic society that was controlled by government drones, and how the album's main character defected. Above, you can get a sense of the album's theme by watching the music video for "Revolt."

Set in the year 2025, the wartime music video was filmed in Prague and directed by Guy Shelmerdine. We see a large mass of people revolting to gain their freedom by clashing with military personnel and drones. Muse explained on their official website that they "wanted the video in black and white only using color to represent revolution."

The video can be experienced in virtual reality by downloading the VRSE app. Unfortunately, the fisheye lens they used to shoot the video distorts the picture and doesn't translate that great to most normal computer screens.

Previously, Muse have shared videos for "JFK + Defector," "Reapers," "Mercy," "Dead Inside," and "Psycho."

Pick up Drones on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3). You can also stream the full album and read our review here on Zumic.

Later this month, Muse will be hitting the road in support of their new album. The Drones World Tour will bring the album to life, with a 360-degree stage experience and sixteen drones that will fly around arenas all over the world.
