Franz Ferdinand return with their first LP in four years, entitled Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, on August 27 in the U.S. and the 26th in the UK via Domino. Yesterday they shared the video for lead single "Right Action", which you can check out below.

The rollicking song was produced by Joe Goddard and Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip and receives an equally rowdy video that features the band performing the tune while retro-looking, psychedelic imagery flies around them. Taylor and Goddard make a fine pairing with the Glasgow band as Franz's post-punk, dance rock sound isn't too far removed from the signature disco-punk that Hot Chip's label Death From Above became famous for in the century's first decade. This is illustrated very well by the group's fantastic cover of flagship DFA band LCD Soundsystem's classic "All Of My Friends", which you can hear and watch below.

"Right Action" was directed by Jonas Odell, who also helmed the video for Franz Ferdinand's massive hit "Take Me Out".
