Jersey trio Screaming Females have released a new track called "Ripe." Listen above.
The song opens with straight drums and bass followed by some perfectly placed guitar shredding. Singer Marissa Paternoster has more than enough attitude to carry the song's weighty arrangement. It fits in perfectly with their brand of spunky, high energy, guitar-heavy rock music.
This could almost be mistaken for a still shot, but if you watch closely the three of them are moving subtly and blinking their eyes throughout, which makes it all the more creepy. It was certainly an interesting choice for a music video.
"Ripe" is featured on their sixth full-length, Rose Mountain, out February 24th of next year via Don Giovanni. Pre-order it on iTunes.
