New video of Leon Bridges has been released and the results are absolutely beautiful. Check it out above.
The intimate footage, produced and released by La Blogothèque, a French music and culture website, showcases a vulnerable performance, far from the lights and the stages that the young man has come to frequent.
Performing outside of a Parisian cafe seems an interesting respite for the 25-year-old singer-songwriter. Bridges' gentle, acoustic version of "River," off of June's Coming Home, is accompanied only by two backing vocalists, a juxtaposition to the ever-increasing level of fame and recognition Bridges has received during the past year.
As Bridges sings on the sidewalk just blocks from Notre Dame, existing to most as just another street performer, he appears lost in his song. And as he has become known to do, Bridges infuses not just his performance, but his surroundings, with a level of authenticity.
