Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has announced 2016 tour dates for North America with his band, The Sensational Space Shifters, that is being dubbed as Blues...Roots And Hollers (A Southern Journey). The opening band for the concerts will be garage rock pioneers The Sonics, from Tacoma, Washington.

After his performance at the Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival in early March, they'll be continuing through the month of March with 10 scheduled concerts. The states they're hitting are Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.

The Live Nation presale offer code is ICONIC and the LN mobile app password is COVERT.

On Robert Plant's website, he offered a few words about the newly announced Spring tour dates:

I’m always eager to return to the hospitality of the Southern states. Towns and cities that hold fond memories for me personally, places that gave birth to so much of the music I love.

Our recent travels have taken this wild whirlwind of a band though many incredible and inspiring places. Having just begun work on our new album, we thought we’d take time out to raise a little sand and welcome springtime with one more adventure, another celebration of life and song.

You can pick up his 2014 album, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).

We caught Robert Plant in New York City last year and it was one of our favorite concerts of 2015. If you like Led Zeppelin and you've never seen him before, you're in for a treat! Just keep an open mind and enjoy the show.
