Avril Lavigne's "Rock N Roll" video may be one of craziest and most random music videos of the year, and is certainly a departure among the videos the pop star has released over the last decade. The video starts with shameless product placement delivered with innocence and enthusiasm. Lavigne then references her own 2002 single "Sk8er Boi" before launching into an action packed, comic book themed video of evil villains and unexpected heroes.
The Tank Girl influenced video contains a number of shocks: First, after an alcoholic dog dies, Lavigne shares a tender lesbian kiss with costar Danica McKeller in a scene reminiscent of Wonder Years. After the funeral, Lavigne picks up an epic guitar and carries it out into a desert for a brief Slash-inspired guitar solo in front of a little church. It's an unmistakable reference to the iconic Guns N' Roses video for "November Rain."

What are some other things you'll see in the "Rock N Roll" video? Billy Zane on a rocket powered Segway, a knife-wielding lobster, and a guy that looks like Darth Vader. You'll have to check out the video yourself to see all of the crazy and seemingly unconnected events.
"Rock N Roll" will be released on August 27th. After "Here's To Never Growing Up," it serves as the second single from Lavigne's upcoming self-titled 5th studio album. Avril Lavigne is due out later this fall.
