Today, the legendary Led Zeppelin have shared an alternate mix of their 1971 hit "Rock and Roll." The song will be included on a deluxe reissue collection that's available on October 27th. Listen to the tune above.

There is a subtle difference between this version and the original. The song is not mastered, so we hear a much more raw sound from the instruments. John Bonham's drumming is crisp and more pronounced than the rhythm guitar parts. However, Page's riffs and solo part do stand out. Plant's vocals are bright and John Paul Jones' keys can be heard in the mix.

Jimmy Page discussed the song with Rolling Stone:

"Rock and Roll" has just got that cheeky energy about it. It's a party. It's been a long time since I rock and rolled. It says it all, really. It's great lyrics and it's a great performance.

The song is included on a deluxe reissue version of Led Zeppelin IV, which is available for pre-order via Amazon. For the latest music, news, and tour dates, check out the Led Zeppelin Zumic artist page.
