Last night, the Wu-Tang Clan debuted their new single, "Ron O'Neal," with a live performance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, which can be viewed in the player below. Their sixth studio album, A Better Tomorrow, is set to be launched in November this year, and this is the first single off it.
The song features strong raps by Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, and RZA, contrasted by the smooth, melodic vocals of the hook. The percussion, horns, and guitar add many wonderful layers to the single, and match the themes of creating a better tomorrow.
And just in case you were wondering who Ron O'Neal is: He is an American actor who was best known for his role as Youngblood Priest, a New York cocaine dealer in the 1972 film Super Fly.
