Timothy Showalter, who records under Strand of Oaks, released his powerful new album, Heal, last month. You can watch the creepy video for the song "Same Emotions" above.
"Same Emotions" establishes a movie-like feel at the beginning, featuring four guys in front of a bar talking about what they hope to happen after their night out. Showalter shows up as a vampire bartender, but there is a demonic glow in his eyes, which immediately inspires suspicion. However, after getting a few drinks, the guys ignore it and focus their attention on the beautiful female patrons, each of whom possesses that same glow. The guys are immediately tempted and led to their eventual demise, with one such case shown in graphic detail at the end. There's a campy horror feel throughout with bits of humor and plenty of blood at the end.
