"Same Old Love" - Selena Gomez [YouTube Official Music Video] | Zumic

Selena Gomez has teamed up with Charli XCX, Benny Blanco, and StarGate for a powerhouse R&B anthem called "Same Old Love." Check out the official music video above, via YouTube.

The emotional impact of "Same Old Love" is pretty deep and there are some powerful moments on this song, but the groove feels stiff and the chorus repetition might make you tired of hearing the same old thing over-and-over. It may be the kind of thing that plays better in concert than on a studio recording. Here's hoping there might be a remix or alternate version released with a little more swing to it.

The video, directed by Michael Haussman, is essentially a short film. We see various types of love and relationships as Gomez drives to a gig for her fans. It's a solid sad love song, which she interestingly doesn't have a writer's credit on. You can hear Charli XCX's stamp all over the song, and she contributed vocals to the chorus. Ross Golan and Benny Blanco are also given writers credits, while production credits go to Blanco and Stargate.
