Over the past month, Paul McCartney has played several surprise concerts to promote his album New. After playing at a high school in Queens, the former Beatle brought mini-concerts to Times Square and Hollywood Boulevard, performing for gaggles of lucky fans and unsuspecting tourists. Short videos of Macca playing "Save Us" at both performances have been released, and we've compiled them into a YouTube playlist for your viewing pleasure above.
Several breathless onlookers are interviewed, including a New Yorker who likens the shows to The Beatles' famous rooftop concert: "Paul and the boys stopped traffic in London back in 1969, now he's doing it again in Times Square in New York City. Rock on Paul, you're amazing."
Watch Paul perform some more songs, new and old, in a recent "mini-concert" on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
