Two days before Schoolboy Q's Oxymoron hit shelves, the L.A. rapper performed a small show at Manhattan's Le Poisson Rouge. NPR was there to film it, and you can now watch the entirety of the 60+ minute show above.

Coming to the stage without a setlist in mind, Schoolboy Q took his time deciding what to play next in between songs, opting mostly for Oxymoron cuts, but also sprinkling in some material from 2012's Habits & Contradictions. For one of those, "Druggys Wit Hoes Again," he brought out TDE labelmate Ab-Soul, and got the crowd to sing "Happy Birthday" to him afterwards.

Schoolboy implored the crowd to "turn up" throughout the show, clearly not used to performing in an intimate, slightly subdued setting. During "Blessed," he stopped the music to tell everyone, regardless of race, to sing along during the chorus, which features the word "nigga" several times. Though Q said he doesn't "believe in racism," he also warned the crowd to not continue saying "nigga" when outside of the venue.
