Brooklyn-based band The Men are getting ready to release an acoustic EP entitled Campfire Songs this fall, but until then we can listen to one of its new tracks, an acoustic version of "The Seeds." The song originally appeared on their album, New Moon, which came out earlier this year. During the New Moon sessions, the band recorded a handful of songs around an actual campfire in Big Indian, NY. Among those was "The Seeds," which turned into into a gentle, strummed guitar sing-along.
In addition to "The Seeds," the new EP will also contain acoustic versions of two other New Moon tracks, "I Saw Her Face" and the "Electric" b-side, "Water Babies." Fans will also be excited to hear two completely new songs, "Turn Your Color" and "Patience." The EP will appear on 12" vinyl, and will contain a booklet of photos taken by bassist Kevin Faulkner.
Campfire Songs will be out on October 15th via Sacred Bones. You can pre-order it now on Sound Stage Direct. The Men will also be touring North America from September through November. You can find tickets on Songkick.
