The Lonely Island were on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform their song "Semicolon" with a little help from Alanis Morissette. The joke-rap sought to teach proper use of the semicolon, but actually contained about as much proper grammar as Nelly's "Country Grammar." They also get in their shots about Morissette's complete lack of understanding about proper use of ironic in, of course, "Ironic." It may have been the nerdiest musical performance in history.

The Lonely Island's upcoming album, The Wack Album, will be released June 11. You can pre-order it on their official website.
