Nashville's Diarrhea Planet came out with their sophomore record I’m Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams today, along with the official video for "Separations."

MTV Hive reports that the video was somewhat inspired by Harmony Korine film Spring Breakers:

“We had so many colored lights and lots of fog machines — we had fog billowing everywhere, trying to capture the lights and try to make everything look more colorful,” says lead singer Jordan Smith. “One of the things we talked about when we were filming it is we were trying to make it look like Spring Breakers.”

Perhaps the film's influence was there, but it's hard not to notice the similarities between this video and the one for Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop," (e.g., bizarro pool party and unexplained fake animals.)

Regardless of its actual inspiration, the video is entertaining and the song itself is another solid tune from this up and coming band. Be sure to check out I’m Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams, which you can pick up on CD or gold vinyl from Infinity Cat Recordings.
