"Sesame Street Meat" - Melvins ft Butthole Surfers [SoundCloud Audio Stream]

The brutal brilliance of the Melvins and the strange beauty of the Butthole Surfers will be combined on the Melvins' new record, Hold It In. The supergroup just released their second single and you can listen above.

"Sesame Street Meat" is a chugging, fuzzy monster with metal teeth. It's a deep stoner groove with crushing guitar riffs and extremely impressive percussion. Buzzo's vocals are dialed back a bit, although they hit hard at sections during which they're distorted and doubled. The track isn't an entirely new direction for the band, but it's got some rad new tricks that make us very excited about the new album.
