Savages burst onto the American scene at last year's taste-making CMJ festival in New York City with their searing brand of post punk and left many eagerly awaiting the group's debut LP. The band has finally announced the details of the record: it will be entitled Silence Yourself and arrive May 7th via Matador records.
The all female British group also released the first taste of the record with the intense, crashing "She Will". It has the same feral, go nuts feel of all of Savages' best work with the song reaching a furious instrumental climax while singer Jehny Beth repeats the coda "She will" over and over. It's intense and fantastic and certainly stokes the excitement for the upcoming record.
