“Over Your Shoulder” - Chromeo [SoundCloud Free Download & Audio Stream]

Someone call the groove police. Chromeo's new tune "Over Your Shoulder" is too damn funky.

Seriously. From the opening bass lick, this song is just infectious. Throw in a tight little guitar part akin to Nile Rogers' rhythm work on Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" and psychedelic synth keyboard parts (that sound like a sample from Steve Miller Band's "Fly Like An Eagle") and you've got a great tune. What pushes this to the next level is the really soulful melodic vocals and quirky fun lyrics. Oh yeah, how about that cowbell?? Tastefully done, like the rest of the song.

Also of note, this sweet little album trailer for White Women featuring the song "Over Your Shoulder" and slow motion fast driving. No release date has been set for the album yet.
