Sigur Rós Writes Entire Original Score For Simpsons Season Finale

Sigur Rós, the most famous thing to ever come out of Iceland besides Bjork, will be featured in the upcoming 24th season finale of The Simpsons on Sunday, May 19. Over the course of the show's history, countless musicians have been guest stars, but according to the Sigur Rós website, "with this episode, Sigur Rós have written and performed more original music for The Simpsons than any other outside band in the show’s history.”

The episode will also help to promote the upcoming seventh studio album from Sigur Rós, Kveikur, which will be released in the United States on June 18th. Go here to check out the tracklist, as well as two videos from the upcoming album, one of which, "Ísjaki" is included below.
