Editor's note: Song starts at 2:08 after Mark McGrath intro.

The Smashing Pumpkins have shared a comical music video for "Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)," a track from their upcoming album, Shiny And Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun.

The song features steady strumming, cleverly placed string arrangements, and Corgan's unique vocal delivery.  Fans may hear hints of "1979," from the band's 1995 breakthrough album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.  What sets this song apart is the guitar leads in tandem with the vocal melodies.

Directed by Billy Corgan, the video features Mark McGrath playing the role of a radio DJ host.  The members of the band have to survive a night in a haunted house, where they encounter spooky objects such as ghosts, skulls, and other things that go bump in the night.  While the effects may be a bit unimpressive, the comedic value makes up for it.

Shiny And Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun is scheduled for release on November 16, 2018 through Napalm Records.  The 8-track album was recorded at Shangri La Studios with producer Rick Rubin.  It will be the first release to feature original members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin since 2000's dual release of Machina/The Machines of God and the free download follow up, Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music

Pick up the new album on Amazon.  In June, the band shared a music video for the album's first single "Solara."

The band is currently on tour in Europe.  For concert tickets and more, check out The Smashing Pumpkins Zumic artist page.
