Jazz pianist Robert Glasper is gearing up for the release of Black Radio 2, a sequel to last year's Grammy-winning album that featured his Experiment band and a whole host of guest vocalists. We've already heard the Norah Jones-assisted "Let it Ride" from the new album, and today we present you with "Somebody Else," featuring Scottish singer Emeli Sandé.
With a sound that straddles the line between smooth jazz and old-school hip-hop, the Robert Glasper Experiment gives Sandé a groovy backdrop to accompany her soft, sweet vocals. Singing, "every day I'm working to become a different person," Sandé's words add a melancholic element to the otherwise laid-back vibe of "Somebody Else." But hey, who said that sad songs can't also instigate a little head nodding?
You can listen to Black Radio 2 right here on Zumic.
