Last night was the telecast of the 86th Annual Academy Awards. The awards show included the recognition of the year's best films and performances, along with a handful of musical performances from Karen O, U2, and Idina Menzel. The ceremony also featured a heartfelt Wizard of Oz tribute.
In honor of the 75th anniversary of the iconic film, Pink gave a beautiful performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Dressed in a ruby red dress, the singer stood on stage as clips from Oz played in the background. Judy Garland's three children -- Liza Minnelli, Joey Luft, and Lorna Luft -- who were all in attendance, nodded in approval at the touching tribute to their mother's most well-known film. The performance showcased Pink's powerhouse voice and served as a modern and sincere rendition of the famous song.
