Avicii teamed up with burn® energy drink and Lotus F1™ to produce the official video for the previously released single "Speed." Not available on his 2013 debut album True, "Speed" was released July 29th in true commercial partnership with burn®: 10,000 downloads were available free via burn® energy drink's FaceBook page. Also, as reported by burn®, "'Speed' was inspired by Avicii's visit to the Lotus F1 Team's headquarters."
Most recently, Avicii's hit tracks "Wake Me Up" and "You Make Me" feature strong vocals, a signature of house. In "Speed," however, Avicii churns out an all electronic, light, and wholly danceable track. The computer animated 3D graphics of the music video are charming. The two driving teams - black vs. orange - dance the same choreographed boogie before the race. After members of both teams dance, one driver per team races in the track matchup. The animated, Lotus F1™ cars of this video hover like jets as they race around the track in the futuristic video. Wait for the last thirty seconds to see how the competing racers show true care and sportsmanship in Avicii's heartfelt style.
Released on September 13th, True is now available on iTunes.
