"Now ladies and gentleman, I have something important to say -- very fucking important -- so pay attention.... Start freaking out!" Thus begins the video for Radkey's "Start Freaking Out." Those words, uttered by bassist Isaiah Radke, are the perfect introduction to Radkey, a band comprised of three brothers from Missouri.

Dee, Isaiah and Solomon Radke are 20, 18 and 15 years old, respectively, and their precociousness has the tendency to stun first time listeners. They make punk music of the purest strain, unclouded by modern influence and attempted genre fusions, and it absolutely rips. Dee, who has a voice that's a dead ringer for Glenn Danzig's, showcases his chops as a frontman in the "Start Freaking Out" video, howling his heart out while pummeling his guitar like it's 1977 all over again. They may have been born some 30 years too late to make it as first wave punk rockers, but Radkey are trying their damnedest to make their forbearers proud.
