Earlier this summer, indie band Low performed a cover of Rihanna's hit single, "Stay," at the Pitchfork Music Festival. Luckily, the band also recorded a studio version of the track which fans can now hear. It's a beautiful cover, keeping the melancholy mood and tender piano of Rihanna's original version. Mimi Parker and Alan Sparhawk provide vocals that are soft and haunting, as they plead that "I want you to stay" over the ballad's final notes.
"Stay" is currently available on iTunes via Sub Pop Records. All proceeds will go to the Chicago music education organization, Rock For Kids. You can find out more about the organization at their official website.
