Earlier today, One Direction released an acoustic version of "Steal My Girl," the first single off their upcoming record, Four. The catchy tune is bound to have teeny boppers (and some embarrassed adults) around the country singing along.
The track from the British heartthrobs is reminiscent of their past hit "Best Song Ever," both songs clearly influenced by rock music with hard-hitting piano licks and crashing drums. Also similar to many of the group's other songs, "Steal My Girl" closely resembles a classic rock tune. In this case, Journey's "Faithfully." The boy band may be trying to change their style musically, but it'd be more impressive if they did it without imitating other musicians.
Four will be released on November 17th, but you can preorder it now on iTunes, Amazon, and One Direction’s official website.
