Sting and Shaggy have added a short run of 2019 tour dates in the UK, after releasing a collaborative album last year called 44/876 (named for the telephone codes of their native countries, the UK and Jamaica). Not coincidentally, the album won a Grammy award this week for Best Reggae Album.
The joint tour, which has only four dates planned, is scheduled for late May in London, Newcastle, Birmingham, and Manchester. The duo will be backed by Dominic Miller and Rufus Miller (guitars), Kevon Webster (keyboards), Josh Freese (drums), and Melissa Musique and Gene Noble (backing vocals). Each artist has their own solo tour dates planned, as well, including festival appearances.
