Guitar virtuosos Rodrigo y Gabriela are getting ready to release 9 Dead Alive, and they've just shared an in-studio performance of two of the album's tracks.
They kick things off with the short "Sunday Neurosis," a calm, building track dedicated to famed author and psychotherapist Victor Frankl. All of the songs on 9 Dead Alive are dedicated to notable figures who have passed on, and the duo honor Harriet Tubman with the following "Misty Moses," a labyrinthine track with intricate layers of melody and Gabriela's signature rhythmic slap-strumming. The song shifts moods a time or two, but their passionate playing remains constant in an excellent tribute to the American hero.
9 Dead Alive is out on April 29th, but you can stream it now for free right here on Zumic.
