A Perfect Circle pushes creative boundaries in their video for "TalkTalk." Watch it above on YouTube.
The video represents an example of how artists can use the visual platform in captivating ways. While it uses 2D technology, similar images will appear in a special online visual display that, when projected through a prism included in the deluxe box set, generates gorgeous, hologram-esque imagery. In an interview with Billboard, Maynard talked about the video and prism:
It is very much a combined experience of the tactile and the visual... I come from an era where the physical pieces [of music] were something that you cherished. Double-gate foldout with the big images, the interaction of putting vinyl on a turntable I think is lost in the digital age … Something like this brings back that visual excitement for people.
"TalkTalk" is included on the band's most recent album Eat The Elephant and the prism with the deluxe box set. Pick up the LP on Amazon. You can also stream the album for free and read our review here on Zumic.
The band will be performing at a number of festivals and will be heading out on a European tour next month. For concert tickets and more, check out A Perfect Circle's Zumic artist page.
