Canadian indie-pop duo Tegan and Sara have announced a multifaceted fall tour.
This tour will be quite different from what Tegan and Sara have done in the past. The intimate and interactive shows will be mostly acoustic, with no opening acts and no backing band. Twin sisters Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin will be performing their classic songs in addition to material from the forthcoming album Hey, I'm Just Like You, due out September 27. Additionally, they will be reading from their memoir High School, due out September 24, and weaving home videos from their teenage years into the concerts.
At this time, 26 shows are scheduled across the USA and Canada. The newly announced tour is slated to run from late September through November. The group's most recent tour and album were both in 2016. Going back to their first album in 1995, the duo have released eight studio LPs as well as a number of EPs. 2013's Heartthrob features their biggest pop hit, "Closer."
