Tampa-based indie pop act Merchandise released their third full-length album, After The End, August 25th. Today, they released a music video for the song, "Telephone," which you can watch above.
The video is trippy and odd, but in a great way. It begins with an image of a rotary phone melting away into nothingness, before beginning a story of three men in a '50s style movie. Overlaid over the top are the members of the band, colored brightly, playing their instruments. The clip includes kaleidoscope effects, flashing colors, and moving screens, all over the top of the main story. It's a psychedelic and surreal experience, and the groovy song provides the perfect soundtrack.
You can listen to "Green Lady" off of After The End right here on Zumic. The record is out now on 4AD and is currently available on Amazon.
