San Diego hardcore band Pierce The Veil are back at it again, sharing a new song with old roots, "Texas is Forever." Listen above.
This is the band's first release since they put out "The Divine Zero" last summer. The track is the first single off their upcoming and highly anticipated album, Misadventures.
Bassist Jaime Preciado spoke with Blabbermouth about the band's progression and how they maintained their sound, "'Texas is Forever' is a fast song, the fastest song we've ever done...It goes back to our roots and is going to be a fun song to play live."
Vocalist Vic Fuentes also spoke about the lyrical content, saying, "It's purely a self-indulgent song for us because it's really fast and that's what we grew up listening to. Lyrically, it closes the book on a relationship that I've been singing about over the last three albums."
"Texas is Forever" combines Pierce the Veil's signature heavy drums, energetic guitar riffs, impressive lyrics, and fierce breakdowns with a new, speedy twist. The song features Vic's distinctive voice switching from singing to screaming over aggressive melodies.
Misadventures is scheduled to be released May 13, 2016. Pick it up on Amazon.
