A Perfect Circle have shared a music video for "The Doomed," the first single from their upcoming album, which has yet to be titled or scheduled for release. Watch it above, courtesy of the band's YouTube channel.

The hard rock tune retains the familiar tension and release of the band's sound from past albums. Sparse orchestral embellishments, pounding drums, and distorted guitars set a foreboding vibe as a passionate Maynard James Keenan sings, "Doomed are the poor / Doomed are the peaceful / Doomed are the meek / Doomed are the merciful / For the word is now death / And the word is now without light / The new beatitude / Fuck the doomed you're on your own."

The minimalist video features the band members staring into the camera and multiple directions. While it lacks in action, it pushes the viewer to concentrate on the song and its lyrics.

In a statement shared by Jambase, Keenan discussed the upcoming LP:

Fourteen years have passed since we released eMOTIVe... A new release is long overdue. In light of this current difficult and polarized social, spiritual and political climate, we artist types need to open our big mouths and share the light a little louder.

APC is currently out on a North America tour. For concert tickets and more, check out A Perfect Circle's Zumic artist page.
