Rock band The Flaming Lips have added 2021 and 2022 tour dates, in conjunction with their 2020 album, American Head.
The newly announced North American shows are scheduled to begin in November and will pick back up in March of 2022. Joining on select dates will be Particle Kid (aka Micah Nelson). The Flaming Lips also plan to tour the UK from May into June.
When the COVID-19 pandemic halted live entertainment last year, The Flaming Lips got creative for a couple of very special pandemic-safe concerts in their hometown of Oklahoma City this past January. The band and audience were all encased in hamster-ball style bubbles that allowed for a safe atmosphere and a unique experience. Watch video of the concert along with the back story from CBS Sunday Morning.
