Hoorah! The Flaming Lips have announced 2019 tour dates.
These are concerts that fans of psychedelic music will not want to miss. The bill features another one of the trippiest bands on the circuit — The Claypool Lennon Delirium — and a compelling opening band in Particle Kid (featuring Willie Nelson's son Micah, who has been touring in the Neil Young + Promise Of The Real band for the past few years). The newly announced shows are scheduled to begin in late July. The Lips also have one-off headlining shows in the USA and Europe through the year.
The Oklahoma indie rock freaks have been keeping busy, releasing an album for Record Store Day last week called King's Mouth. (For those that couldn't pick up the limited edition vinyl, a widescale release is planned for July.) They also have some UK dates scheduled in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Soft Bulletin, which will showcase the album performed live in its entirety. Also of note, frontman Wayne Coyne married his longtime partner earlier this year.
