Recently, indie rockers Modest Mouse have shared "The Ground Walks, with Time in a Box," another track from their upcoming album titled Strangers to Ourselves. Listen to the song above via the YouTube player.

At just over six minutes long, the sonically rich song is driven with uptempo drumbeats and infectious guitar riffs. Layers of atmospheric sound effects, horns, and percussion creep in the background, but become more prominent towards the end. There's a new wave vibe to it, and a Talking Heads feel to the rhythm. "The Ground Walks, with Time in a Box" is a dance friendly tune that will have you tapping your foot, but there are also some interesting themes about our place on the planet as humans. The Strangers to Ourselves album is shaping up to have strong themes about environmentalism and society.

This is the fourth song Modest Mouse have shared from the album. Listen to the previous three, "Lampshades On Fire," "Coyotes," and "The Best Room," here on Zumic.

Strangers to Ourselves is available for pre-order on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes. They've pushed back the March 3 release date to March 17 and they're expected to also perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that day.
