Two of rock's most renowned guitarists have paired up to shake your hips!

John Fogerty has released a song titled "The Holy Grail" featuring Billy Gibbons.  Listen to it above on YouTube. The two have been touring together, as ZZ Top and John Fogerty's band have been co-headlining the Blues and Bayous Tour beginning earlier this year and running until the end of June.

An upbeat blues shuffle motivates the track as John and Billy trade guitar licks in their signature styles.  Fans of ZZ Top will probably recognize the opening lick and intro as being very similar to one of the band's first big hits, "La Grange."  There are countless other blues songs with a similar riff, notably The Rolling Stones' "Shake Your Hips" which was a modernized version of the Slim Harpo classic

In an interview with Rolling StoneFogerty provided some insight, "For me as a musician, swamp boogie is the holy grail of music... This sound captured my soul from a very early age. I couldn't think of a better artist to conjure the vibe of the swamp with me better than the one and only Billy F. Gibbons."

Gibbons shared, "Getting together and collaborating with John Fogerty to create a new song called 'Holy Grail' is a tangible dividend from the Fogerty-Gibbons exchange... It's classic electric-guitar chops with an electrifying climax."

The two will be teaming up for a run of shows later this month.  For concert tickets and more, check out John Fogerty's Zumic artist page.
