With "The Moon Song," from Spike Jonze's film Her, nominated for "Best Original Song" at last night's Academy Awards, Karen O and Ezra Koenig performed their duet version of the song onstage at the ceremony. Watch the short, sweet performance above.
Sitting, fittingly, in front of a rising moon, Karen O and Koenig were dressed to the nines for the night's festivities. Appearing with just an acoustic guitar between them, the pair harmonized gently on the tender love song, expertly recreating the studio version of "The Moon Song." Though it eventually lost to Frozen's "Let It Go," "The Moon Song" will no doubt be remembered down the road alongside Her, for which Spike Jonze took home the "Best Original Screenplay" award.
