After the departure of Kim Deal, the Pixies are not slowing down at all. They have announced the addition of Muffs' frontwoman Kim Shattuck on bass and backing vocals, replacing Deal in all but last name. Also, they have announced tour dates for shows in Europe, which will be the first leg of a world tour, their first tour since 2011.

Frontman Black Francis spoke a bit about the upcoming tour, saying:

"Along with everyone's favorites, we'll be playing songs that we haven't played in ages or never played live before...Songs like 'Brick is Red,' 'Havalina,' 'Tony's Theme' and 'Sad Punk.' We've probably rehearsed some 80 songs, so we'll be able to change up the set at the last minute if we feel like it. We're all really looking forward to this tour."
