Chicago emo revivalist Evan Weiss' solo project Into It. Over It. has a new video out for the song "The Shaking Of Leaves." This is the second clip from his most recent album, Intersections, and it is directed by John Komar and Reza Iman. Watch it above.
The video is a beautifully animated tale of a dog, who after a long time of being mistreated by his owner, that decides to run away from home. Komar and Iman do a wonderful job creating a tale that the viewer can quickly become emotionally invested in, and seeing how the central character is treated in the beginning is heartbreaking. All throughout the clip, however, the dog shows complete selflessness, even catching and stopping a murderer. When the original owner sees that in the news, he runs to go find his dog. It ends with a satisfying climax as the two are finally reunited. Komar, Iman, and storyboard artist Dana Terrace tell a gripping story with this video and the end result is stunning and gorgeous.
