Curren$y and Smoke DZA link together for their joint EP, The Stage. The four song collection is a smooth trip of raps over laid back production. Both rappers have never been shy to state their admiration of fly things, and state just that with the help of producer Harry Fraud behind the boards.

The opening track, "First Light," finds the two trading verses over a mid-tempo beat that sounds like something from a 80's drug flick. "I hope you suckers ready for it, I know your bitch waiting for it," Curren$y spits on the chorus. Harlem-bred Smoke DZA delivers a great verse as usual, giving witty one liners for listeners.

Things get even more smooth on the following track, "Gifts," which DZA kicks off rapping "Already a better day than Ice Cube had, that's word to Terrance Howard doo-rag." The sampled chorus is a calm melodic voice, which Harry Fraud inserts perfectly on the beat.

The two Jet Life members are aided on the final track by French Montana and Big K.R.I.T. Titled "10 Bricks," Montana gives one of his more sincere verses heard this year. "What to do when a friend is a friend with a motive?" he asks, as K.R.I.T. follows up with a stellar hook.

Fans of both artists are sure to gravitate towards the sound of this short and sweet EP. The Stage can be downloaded for free in the player above.

Smoke DZA's next single "Legends In The Making (Ashtray pt. 2)" featuring Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa will be officially released on November 5th via Surf School Recordings.
