Director Shane Meadows waited 20 years for the chance to make a film about his favorite band. Made of Stone is a new documentary that covers everything about The Stone Roses, from their 1983 beginnings to their 2012 reunion. Says Meadows: "It is a film about defying the odds, sticking it to the man and telling the cynics to shut their pie-holes!”
The film's premiere will be in Manchester on May 30th, with both the band and the director in attendance. It will also be streamed that night to 100 theaters across the UK, with a full UK and Ireland release on June 5th. Stay tuned for any news about possible US screenings.
