Bob Mould has released another new music video from his 11th solo album, Beauty and Ruin, this one for the song "The War." The clip is directed by Dave Markey and you can check it out above.

The video begins with Mould sitting at a typewriter, writing out something, when he hears footsteps behind him. The video then suddenly cuts to Mould and his band playing in a club, and it becomes a tour montage. It's nice to see the band's tour van, and all the different bars and venues they play in. At every show, Mould plays with the same passionate enthusiasm and heart, and it's a joy to watch. At the end, the video cuts back to Mould at a table, and we figure out who's footsteps we heard at the beginning. It's a surprise cameo! I'll give you a hint on who it is: He has a new album coming out on tuesday.

You can listen to Beauty and Ruin in full right here on Zumic. The album is available now on Merge Records and is available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon.
