Canadian singer-songwriter Billy The Kid just released this video, surprising fans with a new duet and the news that she's been working on a record with world class singer-songwriter Frank Turner.

The song, "This Sure As Hell Ain't My Life," is a bittersweet love song from the perspectives of disillusioned lovers, but their guitars and voices blend perfectly, lending a degree of charm and chemistry to the somewhat depressing theme. Although Billy's new album is still currently without a name, it's slated for release on Xtra Mile Recordings on May 26th.

Billy reveals the surprise in the video's YouTube description:

Surprise! You may have thought that I was learning a new song every day for the 31 Covers in 31 Days Project... but I was actually in London, England the whole time making a new album with Frank Turner! Here we are rehearsing our duet "This Sure As Hell Ain't My Life" at Reservoir Studios. Video by Ben Morse. More updates and information to come but for now, please pre-order the new album produced by Frank Turner care of Xtra Mile Recordings.
