This past May, Jim James performed an intimate concert at Brooklyn's Rough Trade music store playing mostly songs from his upcoming album Uniform Distortion along with a few songs from his first two solo LPs. Today, he has shared a pro-shot live performance of "Throwback" directed by famed photographer Danny Clinch. Watch it above on YouTube.
Staying true to the studio version of "Throwback," this recording captures James in all his garage rock glory. Upon entering the concert, fans had to lock their cell phones in pouches, which made the experience more engaging. Shots of the crowd enthralled in the performance are shown, and the video offers a first time experience of James and his band performing the song live for the first time.
Uniform Distortion is scheduled for release on June 29, 2018 through ATO Records. Pick it up on Amazon.
Recently, Jim announced North American tour dates scheduled to begin in November. For concert tickets and more, check out the Jim James Zumic artist page.
