Irish musician Hozier has shared a live clip of himself performing his blues-tinged tune "To Be Alone," the fifth track from his 2014 self-titled album. Watch it above via his YouTube channel.
Directed by Maurice Linnane and shot in Wicklow, Ireland, the video sees Andrew Hozier-Byrne, otherwise known as Hozier, sitting in an open field and finger-picking the song. Hozier's vocal styling throughout bring to mind the great bluesman, Mississippi Fred McDowell. While watching the video, it feels as if we are sitting alongside him and watching him pour his soul into every note and lyric. It doesn't get any better than this intimate performance from the gifted musician.
